Danny Combs Appointed to Lead Colorado’s New Disability Opportunity Office

The Colorado Neurodiversity Chamber of Commerce (CNDCC) is proud to announce that our Co-Founder and Chairman of the Board, Danny Combs, has been appointed as the inaugural Director of the Colorado Disability Opportunity Office (CDOO). This new office, created by Governor Jared Polis and the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE), will spearhead initiatives to enhance disability employment, opportunities, and self-sufficiency statewide.

In his role, Danny will lead critical efforts to facilitate policy and collaboration among service providers, advocates, agencies, and state programs, ensuring cohesive strategies for inclusive employment and economic opportunity for people with disabilities across Colorado. With his background in founding CNDCC and Teaching Autism Community Trades (TACT), he brings a wealth of expertise to the position, uniquely equipping him to unify and elevate Colorado’s disability employment landscape.

Governor Polis shared, “We are committed to delivering a Colorado for all where everyone can thrive no matter their abilities, and I’m happy to have Danny leading the charge in coordinating our disability-related efforts and the amazing opportunities for disabled Coloradans across Colorado. Danny is the right person to build a team of talented individuals to facilitate collaboration and engage with Coloradans who are disabled.”

As Danny takes on this pivotal new role, CNDCC is excited to see how his leadership will further elevate neuroinclusive policies and partnerships that benefit Colorado’s businesses and communities. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Danny on this well-deserved recognition, and we look forward to the lasting impact he will make for individuals with disabilities throughout Colorado and beyond.
